Short bio – Mario Torres:
Prof. Mario Torres Jarrín is Director of the Institute of European Studies and Human Rights at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain). Previously, he was Director at the European Institute of International Studies (Sweden). He holds a PhD in History, a Master in European Union Studies, and a BA in Business Studies from the University of Salamanca (Spain). His research interests include international relations and diplomacy, EU Foreign affairs and security, EU & Latin America and the Caribbean relations, European and Latin American integration history, theories of regional ntegration and interregionalism, international political economy and global governance.

Prof. Mario Torres Jarrín es Director del Instituto de Estudios Europeos y Derechos Humanos de la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (España). Anteriormente, fue Director del Instituto Europeo de Estudios Internacionales (Suecia). Es Doctor en Historia, Máster en Estudios de la Unión Europea y Graduado en Ciencias Empresariales por la Universidad de Salamanca (España). Sus intereses de investigación incluyen relaciones internacionales y diplomacia, política exterior y seguridad de la UE, relaciones entre la UE y América Latina y el Caribe, historia de la integración europea y latinoamericana, teorías de integración regional e interregionalismo, política económica internacional y gobernanza global.
