Short bio – Jeanne Simon:
Doctor in International Studies of the University of Denver (USA).
In the last 20 years, her research interests are the democratization and territorialization of social and economic policies, combining comparative analysis of (sub)national responses with the study of supranational governance, including the European Union and the United Nations. She has led several applied research grants on policy transfer, such as the adaptation of the Swedish EcoMunicipality model to the Chilean context. She is currently studying the transfer of the EU Smart Specialisation Strategy in Chile and Peru. She is an associate researcher in the European Studies Program (PEE) and the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR) of the University of Concepción.

Doctora en Estudios Internacionales de la Universidad de Denver, Estados Unidos.
Durante los últimos 20 años, su campo de investigación ha sido la democratización y territorialización de las políticas sociales y económicas, integrando un análisis comparado con el estudio de la gobernanza supranacional, incluyendo la Unión Europea y las Naciones Unidas. Ha liderado investigaciones aplicadas sobre la transferencia de políticas públicas, incluyendo la adaptación del modelo sueco de Ecocomunas a la gestión local chilena. Actualmente, está investigando la transferencia de la estrategia de especialización inteligente de la Unión Europea al nivel sub-nacional en Chile. Es profesora Integrante en el Programa de Estudios Europeos (PEE) e Investigadora Asociada en sustentable socioeconómico del Centro Interdisciplinario de Investigación Acuícola (INCAR) de la Universidad de Concepción.
